Still Looking

Well, I have been applying away to all kinds of places. It turns out that Student Loans will only cover my tuition so I will have to keep on working once I start school but millions of students do that so I am sure that it wont be the end of the world. Just have to pull my socks up some...Mike, thank you for the tip! I did apply but unfortunately they informed me that they are only looking to hire full time.
I will keep you posted.

Did you know?!
To apply at London Drugs, you first need to apply online! Yep. And it takes a while to fill out the info too.

Not Valid

Well, I was really hoping to get onto EI so that they would sponsor me to go take this one year Interior Design program at the Pacific Design Academy. I was very sad to hear this morning that unfortunately, because I quit Starbucks to go back to school I am not a candidate for EI. That sucks. So I guess I will be getting a job to hold me over until January when the program starts and I will be (hopefully) getting student loans to get further and further into debt. I am not having a good day. I feel like I am the biggest-lazy-silly person with no direction and no motivation to support myself. Yuck! What a sick feeling.

Fantastic

It is done. I have cooked my first complete Thanksgiving meal. I am proud and tired. It took me 7 hours but I did it. Made everything from scratch. Apple-Butternut squash soup, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, stuffing and dressing, candied yams, turkey, gravy, peas and carrots and pumpkin pies. A lot of food and so much fun. I sort almost panicked when I tried to clean out the turkey and called Aur in to do it for me but other than that...I really did good. I wish I could post some pictures of it for you all to be so amazed by my talents but I don't know how to.

Thanksgiving

Last weekend I had the luxury of eating of of Aur's mom's incredible Thanksgiving dinners. It was incredible. This Saturday I get to try my hand at cooking up a Viger Thanksgiving dinner for none other than the Vigers. Well, and Aur. I am pretty nervous about cooking this great big meal and don't have a recipe for candied Yams. If any of you have any please email me! Thanks.
Besides that I worked on my resume this week and am getting ready to get out there and apply, apply, apply. Hope something comes up!
Not much else to report...I finished my scarf box though so I will get pictures of it ASAP.

Coffee and Stuff

I can't come up with anything good to write about so brace yourself, this is going to be a mindless rant:

Tim Hortons makes a fine cup of Joe. It was the one thing I woke up for every morning this summer. I would stop in on my way to work at 6:45 and pick up a coffee and a bagel. Yum-eee. Then I would try and handle shifting gears and not letting the cup drip (which for some reason did about 90% of the time) and going over the speed bumps and...It was all worth when I got to my desk, sat down and had that first sip of goodness.

Since Aur has to go to the Unit Tuesday and Thursday evenings I try to spend this time with my Mom and tonight we plan to watch Something's Gotta Give and girltalk and maybe even paint our toenails.

My Dad finally got up the courage to get one of his wisdom teeth out yesterday. It was nice to be able to hang out with my parents and Aur in the middle of the day and watch some of the Horatio Hornblower episodes. For any of you who have not heard of this and like myself have a tendancy to get hooked to Television Series on DVD, this is a good one. There are six episodes in all and they are about a British Naval Officer in the 1790's (I think). Anyways, they are good and I recommend you rent them.

Octidlyober

I have been out of town a lot and I apologize to anyone who has come a lookin' for some news and has found none.
The first of the month is Aur's Birthday and we had a nice little celebration. I gave him presents a day early and we went out for a wonderful dinner to a great little restaurant on Government Street called Brasserie L'école. It was incredible. If anyone is looking to go I suggest you have an assortment of appys to share along with a platter of cheeses. The staff was awesome and the food was exquisite. I highly recommend everyone go there. They even served us the best tasting Chocolate Truffles ever on the house for the Birthday Boy. Really really great place!
Besides that I have been keeping very busy. I looked into some schooling options and found what appears to be my dream degree. A bachelor in Applied Science in Interior Design. Really could it be any better? Well, yes, it could be on the Island so that I could attend! Unfortunately for me this excellent program is offered at Kwantlen University College in Richmond. Uber-sad for me. Aur is stuck here for the next two years at least and we really can't afford to have two apartments and the school is too far from his parent's for me to commute...So I am at groud zero again. I am thinking of applying to Micheals though. Crafts are fun and at least I would feel like such a big Stain.
